As well as a comedy, this film demonstrated attitudes towards people who are of different cultures, and show's an individual's journey to self-fulfilment. Alienated gives people the hope that you don't need to change to fit into society, and that you can be accepted by just being yourself!

I had a lot of fun exploring Al's personality and human-like habits, and tried to show this through things like his body language and eye-contact, or even lack of eye-contact as he was a very shy character. I think these personality traits made the character more relatable and enjoyable for people to watch.

I learnt a lot from this project. I faced new challenges and set-backs, as all film-makers do, and it really showed me of what I was capable of. I feel very proud to have animated Al, and hope to animate more great characters like him in the future.
